Ms. Melissa Keefer

Hello!  My name is Melissa Keefer and I am absolutely thrilled to join the Northside family as your school librarian! This will be my 14th year in education and my 11th in the school library.  I love helping students discover books they'll love and inspiring a lifelong passion for reading and learning.  I hold a master's degree in Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina (go Gamecocks!) and a bachelor's degree in Special Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  When I'm not in the library, you’ll find me reading (of course! 🙂), hiking, or spending time outdoors with my husband and our three children.  I am so looking forward to welcoming you to the library and building strong partnerships with our students, families, and staff - I can’t wait to meet you!
